Chinese PrincessI want to start my first blog by giving a big "Thank You" to my dearest friend Neisha for helping hmmmmmm.......I mean starting this blog for me. You are such a creative, sweet, caring friend and you are like a sister to me!
Life as a Chinese Princess. I use the expression Chinese Princess because I have two beautiful boys. My co-worker gave me this title about 13 years ago. Having two boys I am always asked if I am going to try for a girl. When I told my co-worker I had two boys she did not ask if I was going to try for a girl she called me a Chinese Princess. I said huh? She laughed and told me in China when you give birth to only boys you are considered a princess.
It is very sad but in China when you have a boy they are worth more. They can be sold or put to work for money and that is how the family survives. And in China you have a limit on how many kids you can have and I think it is one or two so they want boys. I have always loved the beauty of Asian artwork and decor so I loved being called a Chinese Princess.
